The 2-Gallon TakeAway Medication Recovery System is an ideal solution for the safe collection, return transportation and proper destruction of dispensed unused medications — including controlled substances (Schedules II-V). This 2-gallon system meets the requirements of the DEA regulations for ultimate user controlled substances disposal. This mailback system is for use in the hospice, long-term care and other health-care facilities. It can also be used by consumers in the home setting or other ultimate user situations where larger volumes of unused/expired medications have accumulated and are in need of safe disposal.
This System meets the DEA regulations for ultimate user controlled substances (Schedules II-V) and non-controlled medication disposal (not for use with inventory drugs).

Medications should be in their original containers when placed into the TakeAway System. Liquids must be placed in a sealed/zip-locked plastic bag before being placed inside the box. No more than four ounces of liquids can be included in each mailing.
